This would be a wonderful way to HEAL A SCHOOL inflicted with a history of bullying or currently wanting to make a change within the schools.

A flash mob could include children from all grades in each school and could be held on Pink Shirt Day & Anti Bullying Day/Week/Month.

Facebook's Anti-Bullying Poster Boy: Justin Bieber

Facebook's Anti-Bullying Poster Boy: Justin Bieber

by

Facebook announced Wednesday that it has partnered with teen idol Justin Bieber--yes, that Justin Bieber--and MTV's "The Thin Line" public awareness campaign to combat cyberbullying and other forms of digital abuse on the Web. Contributors to MTV's map of anti-abuse tactics from around the country will now be eligible to win prizes that include a "personalized voice-mail greeting from Justin Bieber."

Facebook's broader role in this does not appear to be particularly large. But attaching its name to this sort of initiative is important: Among Facebook's younger users, cyberbullying and other forms of digital abuse have been a concern, and some critics (including lawmakers) have said that they don't think the social-networking site is doing enough to spread awareness and protect minors. This is one of those issues where, shall we say, Facebook needs to groom its image as carefully as Mr. Bieber grooms his hair.

But for those of us more interested in the Facebook side of things, take note of this: The second-prize giveaway in the competition, as a sort of consolation for those who do not win voice-mail salutations from Justin Bieber, is a bundle of 250 Facebook Credits, the virtual currency that's being used for payments in dozens of wildly popular third-party games on the Facebook developer platform. It's notable that the virtual currency is now a desirable giveaway item--as if being sold via gift cards at Target stores wasn't enough, this is another one of those minor signs that, yes, Mark Zuckerberg managed to invent his own monetary unit, and it's caught on. That's something that Justin Bieber hasn't done...yet.

I Need to Have a Fresh Start ~~ How Can I Do This?

***STRENGTH**GET STRONG**POWER**SELF CONTROL**LIFE***

Has anyone ever told you to get mad at it. Fight it. Feel the fear and do it anyways. You're tired of feeling this way, SO GET MAD AT IT! Focus on change. Stay focused. Persevere

Remember, change has to be done slowly in steps and not all at once, so grab a calendar and write down some dates when you are available to make one specific change.

Here a bunch of stuff I do to pick me up and ready for the next day. Put on a CD with variety of songs or your Ipod and clean up around you, organize a dresser drawer, color, draw, etc.

And why not give this a try and see if it helps to fill the void and help you to rediscover yourself.

1. Choose 5 different hairstyles in a Hair Magazine. Go to Salon. Pick hairstyle with Stylist. Add 'Face Framing' Hi-lights if suggested.

2. Make appointment with Esthetician for consult. Consult on hair removal, eyebrow shaping, bikini or brazilian wax, etc.

If you have your own nails, think about a manicure. You can do it at home, but you do need to schedule a day and time and stick to it.

If you don't have your own nails, start saving up to try 3 months with acrylic tips (Approx $55.00 to put on....4-5 weeks later needs a fill approx $35.00 and then again in another 4-5 weeks). Yes, men do tips too if they are nail biters. No gloss polish (matte).

3. Find a Hip & Classy Store. Ask one of the clerks to assist you with one new look Casual, Sporty, Sharp, etc. or a few looks to cover different categories, events, etc. (1 dress, 1 black skirt, etc.)

4. Find something that you are passionate about or would like to become passionate about. ie. learn to teach step aerobics, learn boxercise, take judo or tae kwon do, animal welfare, spinning classes, water aerobics, swimming, martial arts, self defense, walking with poles, senior visits, etc. It should be something that exerts you and exhilerates you.

5. Get yourself strong, toned, & fit. If you are overweight, then there are more lifestyle changes that you can make to help you with this. (ie 6 mini meals a day)

6. Challenge yourself to do it. (ie. making polymer clay animals ornaments, chokers, knitting hip bags, making useful items out of wood, get a Bunny and train it indoors see youtube ~ Bailey Bunny. Lots of men, women, girls and boys have Bunnies for companions.

7. Grab a binder/notebook and fill it with magazine clippings, photos, journaling, print outs, etc. sports, strong men, etc. Decorate it. Add your poems, essays, blogs, put your touch on it, it's your book that you can do whatever you want, say whatever, etc.

8. Turn your experience into a blog. Have questions and answers. Have a list of do's instead of's. Help those who are in your position but not as strong as you. Show them a different direction to go. Give them ideas to pursue based on personalities, etc.

*LASTLY, each day you get up, be cheerful and silly with yourself. It'll be easier if you have a bunny, but practice.

*Each day you will bath/shower, shampoo hair, wash fash, brush teeth, cover up any imperfections. Experiment with styling your hair different on 5 days.

If you have short hair, it can be a challenge....you DON'T need to like the styles, it's just to change things up a bit. (ie wet, dry, parted left, parted right, combed back, combed forward, wings, no wings, etc.)

*It's a journey that you are going to create for yourself, but make a promise to yourself to TRY. It doesn't mean you can't have a few days to go BLAH, but make an effort to pick yourself up.

*Eventually, you may be able to arrange a Girls Night with Self Defense Instructors. It's a great time with girlfriends and enemies...I know, but it can actually bond you with those who you would never think it would happen in a million light years.

You are the only one in control to make changes and you know you can do small changes in steps and not all at once. Take the steps in weeks rather days or hours and slowly take account with photos.

Someone asked why getting "skinny" would help protect them against bullies; it doesn't. Taking care of your health, body, persona, and integrity is what helps protect you against bullies. It's your journey to being positive about yourself, being in control of yourself, and defining your personal strength will help you avoid a confrontation.

Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone.
Be generous to those who need your help.
Be frugal with that you need yourself.
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.
Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.
Be willing to share your joys.

Be last to criticize a colleague who fails.
Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not tumble.
Be sure of your final destination, in case you are going the wrong way.
Be loving to those who love you.
Be loving to those who do not love you; they may change.

ABOVE ALL BE “YOURSELF”

My Friend is my Frenemy ~ I Can't Stop Crying

I have a cyberbullying site on Youtube, but also write up excerpts in blogs to help girls out with FRENENMIES. It's a constant battle.Several girls have sent me urgent messages to help them with their 'FRENEMIE' (Friend Now Enemy).

This is GOING TO BE HARD. I want you to cry until your last cry is out and then have a nice hot bath with music to your favorite songs/christian music/uplifting music. When you dry off, think of it like wiping away the left over feelings.

I hope you are able to avoid her in the halls, at the lockers, & in the classrooms. You need to protect your dignity and focus on you.

1. Don't talk to her...especially by email, chat, text, etc. Do not respond. If it's killing you to respond then sign xoxo so she knows you received the message or saw it. DON'T RESPOND ANYTHING ELSE. This is borderline bullying now.

2. Focus only on you. So, you need to set up a plan or draw up a map of your school for each day so you know where you are going, need to go, or where to avoid. If you don't want to be around anyone, then read a book, cranks some tunes, work in the library, set up blog, etc. Anything to keep you away from walking into them ~ DO NOT SHARE ANYTHING WITH YOUR FRIEND.

3. At this point, you shouldn't be talking with her. You are in protection mode. You've got a safe place to go during the breaks. If you want to strike up a conversation with someone new, then give it a try BUT DON'T MENTION WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU. You can't let your side leak out to anyone.

4. See if you can join something new like hip hop, boxercise, curves, something to keep you fit. Curves is 30 minutes and some school distrects accept it in place of gym...so check that option out if it works for you.

There's more you can do listed on my channels. Good Luck. Hope this helps for the in your face feelings right now.
